On Saturday, April 29, 2017, 97 Peñasco Valley Telephone Cooperative members registered for PVT’s Annual Meeting at the Artesia Center located at 612 Eighth Street. This event celebrated the 68th year of PVT fulfilling its commitment to service excellence in its community.

The meeting began with the presentation of colors and the invocation.

Congressman Steve Pearce spoke at the beginning of the meeting, stressing how he feels that it is important to support PVT’s efforts to provide modern telecommunications in rural areas so that our communities can stay competitive on the world stage.

A video presenting the achievements of PVT over the course of 2016 was shown.

The video presentation highlighted many employees of PVT and showed the progress that PVT is making in an ever changing landscape of broadband internet.

The PVT scholarship winners were also honored. More details on the scholarship winners can be found on the back page of this newsletter.

The meeting closed with drawings for many door prizes. Then PVT employees served lunch to the 205 people.
